Tissaheel 2
Type: Sailing Yacht
Length: 33 ft (10.1 m)
Tissaheel 2 was entrusted to our team for a comprehensive hull restoration and annual antifouling package. The project involved detailed underwater repairs, keel restoration, a complete antifouling system, full exterior polishing, and servicing of the yacht's underwater and steering components.
Scope of Work:
- Lifting and relaunching at DMC Slipway
- Complete antifouling treatment using Jotun Megayacht Black
- Sanding the hull back to gelcoat
- Application of 2 coats of primer, 1 coat of sealer, and 2 coats of antifouling, with an additional coat at the waterline
- Repair of damaged fiberglass areas below the waterline using epoxy fiber filler
- Restoration of the hull below the waterline to its original mould shape
- Application of a light coat of gelcoat to prepare the surface for antifouling
- Keel restoration with fiber filler and precision sanding to maintain the original keel shape
- Wet sanding and polishing of the entire hull and superstructure
- Stainless steel polishing
- Removal of the old blue line sticker and repainting of the line in navy blue
- Replacement of all below-waterline thru-hulls with Italian brass or 316 stainless steel
- Sail drive service, including oil drain, flushing, oil refill, and anode replacement
- Rudder drop-down service, replacement of Teflon holders, and realignment of the rudder post
Following completion of the project, Tissaheel 2 received a fully renewed hull protection system together with extensive underwater repairs and mechanical servicing. The hull and superstructure were restored and polished, while the keel, thru-hulls, sail drive, and rudder system were thoroughly attended to, leaving the yacht fully prepared for her next season on the water.
